Register a new merchant account

How an independent merchant opens an account on the merchant sign-up page of the main website: the fields, plan choice, validation rules and sign-up limits, and what the system creates after you submit.

Purpose#

The merchant sign-up page of the main website lets an independent merchant open an account on the platform without going through a delivery company. This guide covers the fields, the plan choice, the messages you may see, and what the system creates for you.

Who can use it#

Any visitor without an account. This is the sign-up page of the platform's main website; a signed-in user who opens it does not see the form. A merchant who belongs to a delivery company is created by that company, or signs up on the company's own site through a separate page that uses a one-time code (OTP).

What you need#

  • A Syrian mobile number in the form 09XXXXXXXX. Numbers that start with 963 or 00963, or that start directly with 9, are also accepted and converted to the local form. This number is your login name later.
  • A password of at least 8 characters (up to 100).
  • An optional email. The number and the email must not already be registered.
  • A way to pay for the plan after sign-up: your wallet balance, or a payment gateway if the super admin enabled one.

Steps#

  1. Open the sign-up page

Press the merchant sign-up button on the website (its label depends on the website version, for example Merchant sign up or Start as a merchant), or Sign up under a plan on the home page; the page then opens with that plan pre-selected. The page heading is "Open a merchant account in a minute".

  2. Choose a plan

Under Choose plan the active merchant plans are listed from cheapest, each card showing the name, the price in dollars, "For N days" and the enabled features. The first plan is selected unless you came from a specific plan link. If there are no active plans, this block is not shown. Payment happens right after the account is created; merchant plans are separate from delivery company plans.

  3. Enter your details

Under Your information: Full name (required, up to 120 characters), Store / business name (required, up to 150 characters), Mobile number (required), Email (optional) (up to 150 characters), Password (required), Confirm password (required), Governorate (required) from the list of fourteen governorates (Damascus, Rural Damascus, Aleppo, Homs, Hama, Latakia, Tartus, Idlib, Daraa, As-Suwayda, Quneitra, Deir ez-Zor, Raqqa, Al-Hasakah, shown in Arabic), and Area and address (parcel pickup location) (required, up to 180 characters).

  4. Accept the terms and submit

Tick I agree to Terms of use and the privacy policy. (the link opens in a new tab), then press Create account and continue to payment.

Expected result#

  • The system signs you in automatically when the account is created. The next step is to choose a merchant plan and pay for it, from the Plan and subscription page, a menu item of the merchant panel. Your panel runs on the website of the company your account is registered under (the platform's merchant company), and signing in from the main website forwards you to it.
  • An active merchant account is created immediately, with no verification code, registered under the platform's company for platform merchants. The account type is VIRTUAL_MERCHANT, with its own internal delivery company, an owner account and a default hub, which is why My delivery company appears in your menu.
  • Two wallets are created with a zero balance each and appear on the My wallet page as Shipping balance (shipping fees are deducted from it when you create parcels) and COD dues (the cash-on-delivery money collected for you), plus a default pickup location named after your store and using your address. The address is saved as "governorate, address".
  • If you entered an email, a welcome email is sent. A sending failure does not stop the account from being created.
  • On the plans page each plan has a Pay from balance button, plus Pay via ... buttons for the enabled gateways only. Your balance starts at zero, so top it up or pay directly through a gateway.

Validation messages#

The Arabic interface shows these messages in Arabic; the English interface shows the texts below.

Common mistakes#

  • "The page expired or was submitted too quickly — refresh the page and try again." Shown when the form is sent less than 5 seconds after the page opened, or more than two hours later. Refresh the page and try again.
  • "Too many accounts were registered from this device today — try tomorrow or contact support." The limit is 5 sign-ups per IP address within 24 hours. Submissions are also limited to 5 per minute, after which a 429 page appears.
  • "An error occurred while creating the account — try again, and if it repeats contact support." Account creation failed on the server.
  • Request rejected with code 422. The form has a hidden "Website" field meant to block bots; if an extension fills it in, the request is rejected.

Limits and permissions#

  • When the platform has active merchant plans, the account needs an active plan before it can use the panel. Until then most pages redirect you to the plans page, and only the plans, wallet top-up, payment and profile pages stay available.
  • Your account's features and limits (API, webhooks, store connections, import, parcel count) come from the plan you subscribe to.
  • To register on a delivery company's site, use that company's own merchant sign-up page, not the independent-merchant sign-up page described here.
