Track a parcel on the public tracking page
How a recipient opens the public tracking page by link, QR code or by typing the number, what it shows and hides, and the 60-requests-per-minute limit.

What this page is for#
Every parcel has a public tracking page that opens without signing in. The recipient, or anyone who has the tracking number, can see where the parcel is in four simple stages. The address is /t/{tracking_number} on the platform's website, for example /t/DS261013AB12CD (placeholder).
Who can use it#
Anyone with the link or the tracking number. No account, role, plan or setting is needed; the only protection is a request limit.
What you need#
- A tracking number: the number printed under the barcode on the shipping label, or inside the link the sender shared. Only Latin letters, digits and hyphens are accepted (4 to 40 characters); lower-case is converted to upper-case and surrounding spaces are ignored.
- If the parcel was handed to an external shipping carrier and the carrier's tracking number is stored on it, that number can also work, but only on installations whose database has the carrier tracking number field (the page skips this lookup when the field does not exist), and only if it has just letters, digits and hyphens (4 to 40 characters). A shop order or invoice number does not; only tracking numbers are searched.
How to open it#
Open the shared link
Open the link you received, for example
/t/DS261013AB12CD. The result appears straight away.Or scan the QR code on the label
The shipping label printed from the merchant panel has a QR code next to the barcode. It points to the same
/t/{tracking_number}address, so scanning it with a phone camera opens the page. A label printed by company staff from the classic parcel pages shows the tracking number and a barcode but has no QR code; in that case type the number or use the link you received.Or type the number
Open
/t, type the number in the Tracking number field and press Tracking. The result appears and the address becomes/t?t=....
Expected result#
- Header: the title "Track shipment", the platform's logo for visitors who are not signed in (the delivery company appears under Delivery company in the details), and a dark-mode button.
- Status card: the current status, the time of the last update, and a four-step bar: Order created, Received by the delivery company, With courier, on the way, Delivered. Steps up to the current one are highlighted.
- Details: the tracking number, the sender (the merchant's business name), the recipient (masked), the amount on delivery (in the currency the merchant entered, or US dollars) or Prepaid, the delivery company, and, when set, its phone under Contact as a tap-to-call link.
- Shipment history: every recorded status change with its date and time, newest first.
| Step | When the parcel is shown there |
|---|---|
| 1. Order created | Pending, pickup courier assigned, or pickup rescheduled |
| 2. Received by the delivery company | Any other status (picked up, warehouse, between hubs, some return and cancel statuses...) |
| 3. With courier, on the way | A delivery courier is assigned, or delivery was rescheduled |
| 4. Delivered | Delivered or partially delivered |
If the parcel has one of these four return statuses, Return to Courier (delivery failed, returning to the company), Return assign to merchant, Return assign to merchant Re-Schedule or Return received by merchant, the bar stays on step 3, the icon becomes a red "!" and the page says: "Delivery failed — the sender or delivery company will contact you." Other return-related statuses (Return Warehouse, Assign Merchant and Returned Merchant) and the cancel statuses are shown at step 2 without the red mark or this message; the status card still names the exact current status.
If the number is unknown, the page shows: "We could not find a shipment with this number. Check the number written on the shipping label or in the message."
What is hidden#
- Recipient name: the first name plus the first letter of the second name, so "أحمد محمد" appears as "أحمد م.". A one-word name is shown as it is.
- Recipient phone: only the last two digits, for example
••••••56. - The page never shows the delivery address, city, notes, courier name or phone, delivery photo or signature, or fees; the history lists only status names and times.
- Search engines are told not to index the page (
noindex).
For merchants: where to get the link#
- In My parcels, right after you add a parcel, a note appears with buttons that include Print shipping label and Customer tracking link. The Customer tracking link button copies the link.
- Each row has a link-icon button, Copy tracking link for the customer; if copying is blocked, a dialog shows the link.
- The parcel's details page has a Tracking page button that opens the public page.
- Parcel objects returned by the Merchant API (for independent merchants whose plan includes API access) and by the Company API (for companies whose plan includes it) include a
tracking_urlfield.
Common mistakes#
- "We could not find a shipment with this number": compare the number with the label. Typical causes: a typo, a space or symbol inside the number, fewer than 4 characters, or an order or invoice number. It is an in-page message, not an error page.
- No QR code on a printed label: a label printed by company staff from the classic parcel pages never has a QR code; it has the tracking number and a barcode. On a label printed from the merchant panel, the barcode and QR code are drawn in the browser by scripts loaded from
cdnjs.cloudflare.com. Without access to that service the QR code can stay blank, so print while online.
Limits and permissions#
- Request limit: 60 requests per minute for each visitor, counted by IP address (or by user account when signed in). Opening the page and each search both count. The counter is not exclusive to this page: other pages of the site that use the same kind of per-minute limit add to the same count. Above the limit the site answers with a 429 error page that says
Too Many Requests received. Please try again later.under a generic error headline, followed by a short red box giving the reason in the page language (Arabic by default, English if the visitor chose English) together with technical details such as the request path. Wait a minute. - Language: Arabic by default, with no language button on the page; a visitor who already chose English with the site's language switch (stored in the session) sees English.
- No map: the page does not show a courier's live location.
